Watch me

The mix of people in any given Christian church gathering will generally contain some people who have been Christians many years as usual attendees; then many times there are some Christian visiting from other areas. Additionally, there are probably some who have not been Christians very long; hopefully, there are also people who are curious about Jesus and have come to learn more about Him. This realization means that, in the gathering there is always someone the Holy Spirit is encouraging, strengthening, or revealing the awesome love behind any given teaching or message from God that is read. Each of these people may gain something a bit different. This message is not made significant because of human words and actions, but because it is empowered by the Holy Spirit of God. “But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,  he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” – Tit. 3:4-7 (ESV) Stresses of living in this world and Satan’s relentless attacks, cause those waiting for Jesus' return to need encouragement. Some people may need to be encouraged and be reminded that there was a time when they were made sinless, and Jesus not only removed all their previous and future sins, but He also made the Holy Spirit live within them, (Acts 2:38-39). We need to be confident of God’s grace and that we can overcome any spiritual obstacle that arises, by depending on the Holy Spirit. He will guide us through earthly trials and into eternal life. This message is what those curious about Jesus need to hear and observe.
